I am doing my PhD at the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Management of UQ, and I am working in a project that is investigating how landscape structure (i.e., the spatial arrangement of different land uses and covers) drives the provision of ecosystem services and the conservation of biodiversity across the city of Brisbane. I am convinced that music and arts in general are excellent ways to approach people and communicate science based topics. For example, back in my home country (Colombia) I realized that graffiti has been used not only to deliver a message about environmental and social issues, but also to make people from different social classes and educational levels work together to solve problems at local scales.
