My name is Jack Coates-Marnane and I grew up on a farm on the Atherton Tablelands before moving down to Brisbane to study science, specifically marine geology and coastal geo-morphology. I am fascinated by how landscapes evolve. As part of a PhD I am studying at Griffith University I am looking at human impacts on the environments of Moreton bay and contrasting this with its long-term evolution. I always enjoy spending time outside and in remote places and sharing knowledge of the environment with others. I am interested in how to effectively convey messages regarding the environment to people through different media other than that typical of science. It would be great to have involvement in this collective as I am always looking for new avenues for creativity.
