What do you do?

I’m an art writer, educator and curator specializing in photography. I work full time with DECK, a contemporary container art space for photography in Singapore and Southeast Asia, designing and executing photo literacy programmes for students and the public. Originally from a journalism background, I was the Education and Outreach Programme Manager of the 2012 and 2014 Singapore International Photography Festival and has participated as a guest curator in Brighton Photo Fringe’s Open 2011. The photo book “The Epiphany of States”, which she contributed a foreword and essay for, was selected in 2012’s Photobook Show, exhibiting in Brighton and Helsinki. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Asian Art Histories at Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore, with a research interest in photography, social agency and political activism in Asia.
